For the background on the base, and both Give It A Whirl circles, I used Broken China Distress Oxide Ink along with the Cloudy Stencil. The grassy areas on all the pieces are inked with Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide Ink.
Rather than color and cut the images on the Give It A Whirl Mechanism, I decided that since both of the layers were pretty basic, that I would just stamp and mask off. I stamped the baskets and the contents, then masked them off using Post It Label Tap. Then I inked the sky and grass. I also prefer to do this technique on the back piece of the mechanism because there aren't edges that get caught up when you move the disks if you have die cut and glued them on.
I wanted to use the Give It A Whirl Scalloped Add On to give the card a little pop, so I stamped the image with the bunny on the Give It A Whirl Messages: Friends die. Once I had my image created, I glued it to a piece of patterned paper and then used the Scalloped Add On Piece to cut the whole think out.
When you cut out the little fillers that go in the basket from the Spring Basket, the die cuts a little bit extra at the bottom to give you something to attach at the bottom. I decided that I would use the Sandy Beach Accent dies to cut little openings in my grass to insert them it and it worked perfectly.
All the coloring is done with Copic markers in the following colors:
- E40, E41, E42, E43 - Bunny
- B000, BG000, B01 - Basket liner
- E31, E34, E35 - Basket
- Y11, Y08, Y38 – Chicks and Yellows
- RV04, RV00 - Tulips
- C1 – Egg shading
- R20, R21
- YG07, G16
The sentiment is from the Spring Basket set and was stamped on Guava Cardstock and cut out with the Everyday Sentiment Banners. I popped the banner up using foam tape.
I am really happy with the way this card turned out. I just love Lawn Fawn's Interactive card, how about you?
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have a great one.
Sandy
