You're My Jam!!!

Hello!  Do you have a friend that is totally "your jam"?  I know that I do.

This card was created with some old and some new from Trinity Stamps with a little Lawn Fawn thrown in.

The mason jar is from the Half Pint Jar stamp set.  I wanted to fill my jar with strawberries, so I used the How You Bean Strawberry Add on from Lawn Fawn to do just that.  In order to stamp in my berries as close to the jar edge as possible without going outside the line, I cut a mask for the lower outside edge of the jar.

I stamped the berries using the stamp where they are bunched up and four of the single stamps.  Again, in order to not have my stamps overlap, I cut a mask for the berry bunch and then stamped the single berries on top of that.

I used my Copic airbrush system to color in the jar.  After masking off my single berries, I sprayed the jar first with BG0000 and then added B000 to the outside edges to give the jar a little dimension.

Once I removed the masks, I colored the jar using B000 and B02.  The strawberries were colored with:

  • R17, R29, R30
  • YG07, G7, G28
For the large toast in the background, I used the new Toaster Card Die set.  I cut the toast card from white cardstock and then cut it in half.  I didn't worry about the square edges on the left side because I knew they would be covered by the jar.

I used the airbrush again to color my toast.  I applied a light spray of E50 over the entire piece.  Then using the smaller toast die from the set, I used it as a mask so I could create the crust using E13.  To add a little more dimension, I removed the mask and then used E11 on the outside edges.  This is so easy to used to cover a large area if you don't want to ink blend.

Using the This Calls For A Toast stamp set I stamped two toasts and added the cute little face to one of them.  They are colored with Copic markers in:

  • E11, E13, E50, E53, E55
  • R20 -cheeks
The sentiment is die cut from Simply Sentimental: Friends and heat embossed from This Call For A Toast.

All the little elements are arranged on a piece of gingham patterned paper cut at 4.25" x 5.5".  I popped up the toast duo, sentiments a several strawberries using foam tape.  I like to add a little dimension to cards when they aren't interactive.

This turned out to be a fun little friendship card.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you have a great day.

Sandy
