You Make Me Smile!

 

I created this card for the Lawn Fawn Challenge 132 - Color Inspiration . I wanted to keep may card really simple and just focus on the inked background.

I used Lawn Fawn's Large Stitched Circle Stackables to cut the black glitter paper. For the purple glitter paper, I used the Stitched Scalloped Circle Frames.

For the background, I used Distress Oxide in the following colors; Candied Apple, Fossilized Amber, Twisted Citron, Broken China and Wilted Violet.

After I inked the background I went over it again using the Lawn Fawn Bubble Background to add a little dimension. Then I spattered a little bit of silver and purple metallic watercolors.

I stamped and embossed the Magic Messages sentiment on purple cardstock using embossing ink and white embossing powder.

It's hard to see in the picture, but I popped up the glitter paper circle on foam dots and adhered the sentiment directly on the background base.

It seemed to need a little bit of pizzaz so I glued on a few sequins in each corner. I mounted it on a black card base. I felt like the black color would bring out the other colors.

This was a lot of fun to make and I know exactly who I will be sending this to.
