Some Bunny Trimmed A Tree

Hello friends! This past holiday weekend, I was helping my young friend Aidyn make a Magic Picture Changer card for his friend, when I was inspired to make one for the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge 137 - Holiday Critters. The Christmas tree that fit just perfectly is from a Lawn Fawn Simon Says STAMPtember Exclusive called Snow Bunnies.

I followed the Intro to Magic Picture Changer & Magic Picture Changer Add On on You Tube in order to have a similar background on the before and after pictures. I put the images close together to get the shading right and then cut the pieces out using the dies.

The copic markers are used are;

The patterned paper that I used was from an older Lawn Fawn collection called Chill. I actually chose the colors of the bunnies based on the tans in that collection.

Christmas On Ice

Happy Thanksgiving a few days late! Back again with those cute little Mice On Ice from Lawn Fawn. I created this card for the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge 137 - Holiday Critters. When I think of Christmas, I always think about the unusual ornaments that my Grandmother used to have. I love the Stitched Ornament die set, so I decided to incorporate them in my card. I also wanted to use paper from the Let It Shine paper collection from 2021. I used the light blue paper from my 6x6 pad. I wanted to capture the stitching on the outside of the ornament shape so I laid them out on the paper and ran them through my Big Shot.

In order to get my mice in the right spot on the ornament with background shading, I cut the ornament shapes in a piece of scrap paper and then stamped the mice where I wanted them. I order to ink the background, I had to cut masks for each of the mice.

Once I masked them, I was able to blend the background with Distress Inks and speckle the design with some silver watercolor paint.

Once I placed the "scenes" behind the appropriate ornament I added the ornament hangers and other decorations cut from the die set. Initially, I was going to use silver glitter paper but it got totally lost on the background paper. I decided that the red glitter paper would highlight the little scarves on the mice.

The copic markers used for the project are; R00, R30, N0, N1,N2

A Christmas Bake Shop Stop

Hello friends! I created this card for the Lawn Fawn Challenge #135 - Coffee, Tea and Treats.

I knew I wanted to create a bakery scene but I wasn't quite sure how I was going to create the bakery case and hutch. So I started looking through my stamp stash and decided that I could use the desk from Lawn Fawn's Your Just My Type for the base and then I used different sizes of rectangle dies to create the top of the hutch and the bakery case. I used an xacto knife to cut out the bakery case shelves. I used dark brown paper for the case and hutch touched with a little dark brown marker to soften the edges and a lighter brown with a little Walnut Stain distress oxide stippled on to soften that also.

Once I got those made, I quickly found out that I wasn't going to be able to make my preferred A2 size and had to go with a half fold - 8.5" x 5.5" work area. However, by doing that I had to fill in the space above the bakery case. I knew a window with a fun winter scene would be just perfect. I used the Window Frame die. I wanted the window to be horizontal so I cut off the top and bottom of the window to make it a nice clean rectangle. I couldn't use the curtain and valance dies from that set but found that the curtain and valance from the Shadow Box Card Theater Add On was the perfect size. I used paper from the Snow Day Remix for the curtains and tie backs. For the window scene, I combined to stamps from the Snow Globe Scene stamp set.

In the picture, you can't see that I used clear acetate for the window and the bakery case and in retrospect, I wish I would have used the acetate for the window also. Oh well ......next time.

I wanted to make sure I had a little mouse adding a cake to the top of the hutch so I needed a way to get her up there. I was hoping to find a little ladder to achieve that but none of the ones in my stash were the right size. I had enough space to put in shelves, so I used the shelves from Purrfectly Wicked and cut them to size. If you look closely at the picture, you can see where I cut and overlapped the pieces.

The most fun part of the process with adding the treats and mice to the scene. For the treats and my little mice, I used, Apple-solutely Awesome, A Creature Was Stirring, A Tea-rrific Day and a Tea-rrific Day Add On.

The Copic Markers I used are as shown.

I hope you enjoy this card. I sure would like to visit such a fun little bakery for the holidays.

Christmas Tea

Hi friends! I had a little bit of time this afternoon so I made another card for the Lawn Fawn Challenge #135 - Coffee Tea and Treats.

I love to collect patterned paper but for some reason I always forget to use it. I decided to challenge myself to use patterned paper and to make a card without using any any stamps. I can't believe how quickly this card came together. I used paper from the Snow Day remix, the Merry Christmas Line Border, Put A Bow On It, Stitched Teacup, and Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Frames.
