Hello friends! It is that time of year again for weddings all though you could use this card for Mother's or an Anniversary by changing the sentiment.
For this card I used the new Secret Garden Window die with white, pink and green pearlescent vellum. Vellum can be a pretty tricky medium because it shows adhesives. Before I cut the Quilted Backdrop: Landscape from the white vellum, I adhered it to a sheet of double sided adhesive. Once it was cut, I layered on the darker side of the pink vellum and adhered another sheet of double sided adhesive and cut out the window. I placed the cut window piece on top of the green vellum and cut the inside window detail.
I cut some of the little flower pieces from the pink vellum and glued them as inconspicuously as possible. I wasn't too worried about the glue showing because I was planning to use some Stickles to add glitter to them anyway.
I stamped the Swans directly on a piece of White Shimmer Cardstock and just added a small amount of color with Copic markers and applied some blue vellum cutting around the bottom of the swans to add the look of water.
I added adhesive foam strips to the back of the front of the card and adhered to the layer with the swans. Then I added glitter to the swans, water and the flowers in the window. A fun surprise was when the glitter dried, it shrunk just enough to slightly cure the flowers which added some additional dimension.
For the sentiment, I used the Big Scripty Words Hot Foil Plates with a light pink foil on the white shimmer cardstock. I trimmed the card with a gray shimmer cardstock frame cut with the Stitched Rectangle Frame die.
The pictures don't do this card justice - it is just beautiful. Thanks for stopping by!
