Hello and Happy Summer. When I see gingham and lace, I always think of summer and picnics. This is what I had in mind when I created this card.
For the background I used Prize Ribbon Distress Oxide and the Skinny Stripes Stencil. After I stenciled it, I speckled it with white acrylic paint. I used the Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables to cut it down and layered it on top of the largest Fancy Scalloped Rectangle Stackables.
I used the Lacy Heart Stackables for the yellow heart. I left the little pieces in the lacy part of the heart because when they were out, the heart lost it's "wow" factor. I did a little bit of inking on the inside of the heart using Prize Ribbon and Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide and spritzed a little water to give it a little dimension.
For my little mice friends and elements, I used the Berry Special Stamp Set. I used Copic Markers to color it in.
For the sentiment, I used the Scripty Hello die and used Red Barn and Sunflower Cardstock.
For the inside of the card, I used a little scrap gingham and used the sentiment for the Berry Special Stamp set.
I really enjoyed making this card and I hope you enjoy it too. Thanks for stopping by!
Sandy
