Hello and happy Tuesday.
I really like sunflowers, because they are perfect for summer straight into fall. So very cheery!
For this card I used Lawn Fawn's Pull And Pop Pull Tab die again. I just love this die. It is really easy to use and really delivers a surprise.
For the background, I ink blended Tumbled Glass, Mustard Seed and Carved Pumpkin. I spritzed it with a little water and then flecked some white acrylic paint on it.
I cut the grassy area out of Cilantro cardstock. I blended a little Mowed Lawn Distress Ink to give it a little dimension. I also flecked thinned down Mowed Lawn ink and a little white acrylic paint.
I cut the sunflower out of white cardstock using the Magic Iris Sunflower Add On. I inked the whole flower with Mustard Seed and touched the petal edges with Carved Pumpkin. The center is cut from Ground Espresso cardstock. The sentiment is from the More Magic Messages stamp and die set. I used White Embossing Powder.
For the fence, I used the Picket Fence Border with Light Brown Woodgrain cardstock. I used the Simple Puffy Clouds for the clouds but I would have preferred using the Simple Puffy Cloud Frames, but I don't have the die. I think the whole cloud is a little "chunky".
This is a really quick and easy card to make and I am sure I will be making more. They are just perfect for any occasion depending on what sentiment you put under the sunflower.
I hope you enjoyed this card and that you have a happy day filled with sunshine!
Sandy
