Hello!
When I first saw the Dotted Moon And Stars Background, I knew that it would me the best Halloween background. For this card, I cut the moon and stars layer out of Sugarplum Cardstock and did just a tiny bit of ink blending to add a little dimension and accentuate the stitching with Villainous Potion Distress Ink. I layered that on top of Cilantro Cardstock. I am sure I am going to use this combination on other cards in the future. So spooky!
I have been playing around with my Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System. It has been a little intimidating and frustrating. My advice is to just keep at it. Each mistake is a learning opportunity. I have finally found that when I am working with the Solid Hot Foil Plate from Pinkfresh Studio, I had to use a shim in between my two plates to get a good impression. There are still creases and small spots that are unfoiled but I can touch up the unfoiled parts with a matching Copic marker.
I used the solid hot foil plate to make metallic paper in orange and black. I used Black Glimmer Hot Foil and Tangerine Glimmer Hot Foil. Once I got the paper foiled, I used the Cute Cobweb die and the Giant Trick Or Treat die to cut them out.
This was a very quick and simple card to make.
As aways, thank you for stopping by. Have a great day!
Sandy
