Hey There! Hayrides!

I took our derpy doodle Quincy for a walk this morning and it was actually cool enough to need a hoody. I notice that the leaves were just starting to change so fall is coming.

Since I had ordered the new Favorite Flannel Collection and the 12" x 12" paper is double sided, it seemed like the Shutter Card would be the perfect match. All the colors are so yummy, it was hard to choose one. I went with the lightest blue so I could create a farmyard scene.

I used the Grassy Stencil with Mowed Lawn and Luck Clover Distress Oxide Ink for the grass at the bottom. I have tried using cardstock cut out with the grass die and it just causes problems with the folding of the side panels.

I think the Hay There, Hayrides is such a cute stamp set. The chicken that drives the tractor just cracks me up. The little wagons wouldn't fit on the side panels, neither would the tractor. I made the tractor the star of the show and then used the other elements of the stamp set to finish setting the scene. That is one of the things I like about Lawn Fawn, they give you enough items in a set to create a fun scene without have to have multiple sets. I even used the wording from the set for the sentiment.

I cut some Simple Puffy Cloud Frames from Speckled Eggshell cardstock.

I always keep the front of my Shutter Cards simple so that when the recipient opens them, they are surprised .

This was a pretty quick card to make.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you are having an amazing day!

Sandy
