Seasons Tweetings

Hello! I hope this post finds you well. We had a little excitement a couple days ago. I live in the suburbs close to a great trail that runs along a creek. Earlier this summer, Quincy, our derpy dog, and I ran into a coyote one morning. Coyotes are always in the area and unfortunately or fortunately, they take care of the rabbit population. We can hear them yipping at night but don't usually see them during the day. Anyway, my husband was walking Quincy the other day and a neighbor told him that there was a bobcat up ahead. What the heck?

I thought I would take another shot at the current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #156 - Color Challenge. These are just so dang hard for me.

I used the new stamp sets Winter Birds and Winter Birds Add On.

I used the white paper from the Spiffier Speckles Paper and used the Winter Wonderland Window die to cut the window opening. I cut the inside window portion of the die out of gold glitter paper and then I cut off all the snowflake pieces so all I had left was the gold frame. Then, I cut it out again using a silver paper and then colored in the snowflakes using the markers I used to color the birds and other pieces.

It is hard to tell from the picture, but I popped up the entire window piece with foam to give the card a little dimension. The tree branches and the birdhouse is glued directly to the background. Everything else on the inside is popped up with foam dots so it is very dimensional also.

I used the sentiments from the stamp set and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder.

I am pretty happy with the way this card turned out. It definitely doesn't have any traditional Christmas colors in it.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great day!!

Sandy
