Hello friends. I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving holiday if you celebrated it. It was very quiet in our house. We got a little bit of snow, but it has been very cold the last few day.
It has been a little bit since I have played with Lawn Fawn's cute little mice. The current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #161 is Holiday Critters. I already entered one card, but I thought that I would make another one for the challenge.
When Lawn Fawn came out with the Embroidery Hoop, I wasn't very sure that I would use it, but I went ahead and ordered it. Of course each time they offered a new hoop add on, I always added it to my basket. Finally today, I was inspired to use the Embroidery Hoop Snowflake Add On.
The little mice from Sew Very Mice have been very busy making Christmas dresses for the holidays but not too busy to forget about hanging their stockings for Santa to fill. In order to make the little guys more festive, I used the Santa hats from Cheery Christmas and Ugly and Bright to add to the mice.
I used a couple of the new releases for the sentiments. I used Scribbled Sentiments for the main sentiment and found that the Little Snow Globe Add On fit perfectly in the little embroidery hoop. I used red heat embossing powder.
The background paper is from a previous released paper called Knit Picky. I didn't have a 12" x 12" sheet, so I used paper from a 6" x 6" pad and pieced it in the center because I knew the hoop would cover most of the seam. I like the subtle print - it just add a little warmth and interest. I used a coordinating piece for the "fabric" in the hoop also.
I have to say, that I really enjoyed stitching the snowflake and I plan on doing many more in the future.
Thanks for stopping by. As always, I hope you have an amazing day.
Sandy
