A Little Bundle Is On The Way!

Hello! I hope everyone had a lovely Valentine's Day. I always feel like Valentine's Day is the last winter holiday. From here on out, the days start getting longer all though March is usually our snowiest month. I just look forward to things greening up.

This card is for a Lawn Fawn Challenge. It is for interactive cards. I have had the Ta! Da! Diorama! since it was released last fall and hadn't had a chance to play around with it. I was thinking about using a theme that I hadn't done in awhile and I thought about a baby card.

I cut the main piece for the diorama from older patterned papers called Spring Fling and Perfectly Plaid Remix. I also used the Ta! Da! Diorama! Grassy Hillside Inserts.

I used the dies that came with the Little Bundle set to cut the clothesline poles and clothes pins out of woodgrain cardstock. I stamped the clothes line using Staz On ink on piece of acetate. The clothesline was way too long for the inside of the diorama, so I had to cut it down to fit between the poles. It does take a little bit of patience to place the poles on the grass so that the diorama will close. I found that the inside was much smaller than I was planning, so I was only able to insert the clothes line and wheelbarrow with out it being too busy.

The stamp sets used are Little Bundle for the baby items, Oh Gnome for the wheel barrow and Eggstraordinary Easter for the chicks, grass and flowers. I wanted to put some of the chicks laundry in the wheelbarrow, so I did a little stamping and masking to fill it up.

All the coloring was done with Copic Markers in the following colors

  • Yellows: Y11, Y15, Y19
  • Blue Greens: BG70, BG72, BG75
  • Pinks: RV10, RV11, RV32, RV34
  • Greens: YG11, YG17
  • Gray: C0, C1, C2, C3, C5

Once I had my diorama put together, I wanted to attach it to a standard card base. I adhered it to the bottom of the base so that the card could stand up when the diorama was open. That actually worked out well because it left me room to place the sentiment. I did need to pop up the sentiment with foam tape.

This is such a darling little card and I can only imagine how excited the recipient would be at such exciting news.

I hope that you find this card as delightful as I do. Thank you for stopping by and I hope you enjoy these final days of winter. Spring is just around the corner.
