Hello friends! These are the last of my Valentine cards for this year. I may have saved the best for last.
I came across Gerda Steiner Designs on my FaceBook feed a little over a month ago and absolutely fell in love with her images. I think if someone asked me if I had to choose a stamp company that matched my personality, it would definitely be Gerda's designs. They are fun, goofy sweet and snarky and I just love them. Her pigeons are over the top cute and I will be making cards with those very soon! Anyway, my future Grandson, saw these designs and was crazy about the Mammoth so I made the green card just for him and mailed it off this morning.
For this card, I stamped both images the Big Guy Mammoth on Express It Cardstock. I find this the best blending paper for me. It is a little spendy, so I save every little blank piece to use at a later date.
The Copic colors used are:
- Tusks: E51, E50
- Body: E21, E34, E35, E37
- Eye Shade: C0
I cut the big hearts out using a cream cardstock along with Lawn Fawn's Outside In Stitched Heart Stackable. I blended the edges with Tea Dye and Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide respectively. For the pink card, I did hot foil that heart using Pink Fresh Studio's Heart Grid Hot Foil Plate along with Bright Pink Glimmer foil. I also cut the scalloped heart from a hot pink cardstock using Lawn Fawn's Lacy Heart Stackables. To give the card a little dimension, I popped up the center heart with foam tape.
For the sentiments, I heat embossed them using black embossing powder.
I just love the way these cards came out and I hope that you do also. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great Valentine's Day!!!!
Sandy
