Namasleigh

Hello, it's Sandy again.  Today I have a really punny Christmas card.  These little guys are just so busy practicing yoga that I'll bet they don't even notice the cold.

For this card, I used the stamp set Namasleigh from Gerda Steiner Designs.  Her illustrations have so much personality.

For the background, I used Distress Oxide Ink in Prize Ribbon, Salty Ocean and Tumbled Glass.  I love this color combination for a cool, yet bold winter background.  If this card hadn't been a mini slimline, I would have also added a little Black Soot at the top, but I didn't feel like I had enough blending room for another color.  For the snow, I used the Snowy Sky Stencil from Lawn Fawn with some white stencil paste.  I used Lawn Fawn's Stitched Simple Wavy Borders to cut the "snow" covered ground from white cardstock.  I added a little B000 Copic ink to the upper edge and under their feet to give it a little of dimension.

The coloring was done with Copic Markers in the following colors:

  • T0, T2, T5, T7
  • G12, G14, G07
  • R24, R29, R39
  • YR04, YR09
  • E51, E53, E55, E57
  • E01, E02
  • B000
For the sentiment, I used Henry's ABC's and heat embossed them with white and black embossing powder.  I also heat embossed the "Namasleigh" with embossing powder and then cut it like a speech bubble.

I really enjoyed making this card and I hope it has been a little bit of inspiration for you!

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have great day!

Sandy
