North Pole Gnomes

Hello!  I decided to take a break from Halloween cards for a little bit to play with the new Little Christmas Tree Stamp Set.  It is a Simon Says Stamp Stamptember collaboration with Trinity Stamps.

I thought that this tree would be perfect to pair with Trinity Stamps' North Pole Gnomes.

In order to fit everything on this card, I had to use a 5.25" x 5.25" square card base.  I don't usually make cards with these dimensions, but I have decided that it is a really good size.

For the background I used Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean and Prize Ribbon Distress Oxide.  I used the Hillside Stencil by Lawn Fawn to lay in some snow drift.  Once my ink was dry, I used their Snowy Sky Stencil with White Pigment Ink to put in the snowflakes.

I heat embossed the sentiment using Trinity Stamps Simply Sentimental: Merry with white embossing powder.  I had thought about putting in some heat embossed snowflakes, but I was afraid that the background would get cluttered.

I used Copic markers in the following colors:

TREE:

  • G12, G14, GO7
NORTH POLE GNOMES:
  • G18, YG17. G29
  • R20
  • B12, B23, B24
  • E000, E01
  • Y28, Y26, Y21
  • R14, R24, R39, R59
  • E50, E53, E55, E57
  • C00, C0, C1, C3, C4, C6, C8
This little card makes me smile.  I really like that the reindeer is sitting on top of the sleigh like he's the one wishing you Merry Christmas.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great day!

Sandy
