Hau'oli Mau Lanui

Holiday greetings!  It looks like Santa is taking a break after his big day and relaxing on a beach.

This card was created with the stamp set Hau’oli Mau Lanui by Trinity Stamps and some really fun distress oxide Ink blending.

For the background, I used Tea Dye and Vintage Photo along with the Hillside Stencil from Lawn Fawn.  The waves were created with the Ocean Waves Stencil with Tumbled Glass and Mermaid Lagoon.  This yummy sky is Carved Pumpkin Picked Raspberries and Seedless Preserves.  If you would like to see the whole process, I have a video posted on my YouTube channel.  The video is linked at the end of the post.

The hanging foliage is cut from green cardstock using Lawn Fawn’s Tropical Leaves Backdrop.  I trimmed away most of the foliage because it was going to compete with the Santa image.  To cover up the cut edges of the Tropical Leaves Backdrop, I cut a frame from orange cardstock using Lawn Fawn’s Stitched Rectangle Frames.

Santa and his amazing palm trees were colored with Copic markers in the following colors:

  • RV02, RV04, RV06
  • YG23, YG25, YG67, C2
  • Y08, Y19
  • YR04, YR07, YR09
  • R24, R27, R29
  • BG01, BG02, BG05
  • E25, E29, E35, E51
  • E000, E00, E11
  • C0
  • R20

The sentiment is from the stamp set.  It is heat embossed using gold embossing powder.

I think I could definitely hang out with Santa on this beach.  What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by and I hope that you find a little R&R after the holidays.

Sandy
